55g caster sugar
1 tbsp. honey
50g plain flour
180g mixed fruit
70g slivered almonds
500g dark chocolate melted.
2 baking sheets with greaseproof paper on them.
pre – heat the oven to 180 c
Gently melt the butter, sugar and honey in a pan.
Put the flour, fruit and nuts in a bowl then stir in the butter mixture until completely mixed in.
Take the mixture (about a desert spoon) and place on the lined baking sheets.
Don’t put them too close because they spread ( a lot ) you don’t have to worry about being too precise.
Bake in the oven at 180 c for about 14 mins.
When they come put you can gently push them into circles with a knife if you wish. leave to cool.
Once cool you can turn them over and spread on the melted chocolate…place in the fridge to set.
I love Florentines…but my teeth don’t! I could omit nuts I suppose…
